Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5510 (KB5054148) to the Dev Channel, marking the start of a new series of builds. This move brings the Dev Channel up to speed with the 26200 series, which is based on Windows 11, version 24H2, and features many of the same improvements as the 26120 series builds being released in the Beta Channel.
As part of this update, Microsoft has highlighted several known issues that Insiders may experience with Build 26200.5510, including difficulties with Recall, Click to Do, File Explorer, Taskbar, and Task Manager. The company has also warned about potential issues with Copilot+ PCs, where snapshots in Recall and Recall settings may be deleted and reset after updating from Build 26120.3576.
To address these issues, Microsoft has committed to fixing several known problems in future updates, including an issue where Recall can no longer save new snapshots or modify settings, and another where Recall is unable to automatically save snapshots. Additionally, the company is working on a fix for an issue causing File Explorer to be slow to close, as well as an issue causing File Explorer Home to crash.
In the meantime, Microsoft has provided several tips and reminders for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel, including advice on how to get the latest updates and keep their systems up to date. The company has also emphasized the importance of providing feedback in the Feedback Hub, particularly for any issues Insiders may experience with the new build.
