Hello Windows Insiders, today we are excited to announce that Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.4660 (KB5048808) is now available for the Beta Channel. This build includes a range of new features, improvements, and fixes that are being gradually rolled out to Insiders who have turned on the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available.
One of the key changes in this build is to the File Explorer context menu. Labels have been added to previously unlabeled actions such as cut, copy, paste, rename, share, and delete, making it easier to use the context menu. Additionally, the build includes new buttons in the Magnifier to reset the zoom to fit to screen and reset it to the last or preferred magnification.
The build also includes a fix for some issues impacting File Explorer performance and reliability. Furthermore, the suggested actions that appear when copying a phone number or future date in Windows 11 are being deprecated, and the feature is being disabled.
In terms of fixes, the build includes a range of improvements to Windows 11, version 23H2, which is being rolled out through an enablement package (Build 22635.xxxx). Insiders in the Beta Channel will receive these updates based on the enablement package.
The build is also making use of Control Feature Rollout technology, which allows some features to be rolled out to a subset of Insiders and then gradually expanded to everyone in the channel. This means that some features may not be fully localized, and feedback on any issues with language support is being requested.
Finally, Insiders who want to be among the first to get new features and updates can turn on the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available via Settings > Windows Update. Over time, the toggle will be expanded to include more Insiders, and new features will be rolled out to everyone with the toggle turned on.
Overall, this build is an exciting step forward for Windows Insiders, with a range of new features, improvements, and fixes that will help to make Windows 11 an even better operating system.
