Today we will highlight some reasons why we think you should give this game a chance on your Windows computer. At the original time of this post, this game game is brand new, it hasn’t even been 24 hours since it was released and I have only played it for about 15-20 minutes but I must say, it’s pretty damn good, so far I give it a steady rating of 8/10, I was about to give it a 7 because it does have some minor little glitches but that is expected these days with these games, very few games launch smoothly and I think we just have to accept it as gamers and judge the game maybe a month or so after it’s initial release, anyone agree? With that said, I last played this type of 4X turn strategy game a couple years back and specifically I played Age of Wonders 3 which was and is still a great game, it was released way back in 2014 but trust me, it holds up even now against similar games. Anyway, back to Age of Wonders 4, this game was worth the wait, well almost, I feel like with what it has delivered, it should have been released maybe 3-4 years ago? But time is on their side so we will see what they will offer in terms of DLC etc. What I really like about AOW 4 is the game’s campaign mode is rich with a depth story and the randomly generated maps make each game feel unique and not something anyone can copy and paste, meaning that just about everyone playing this game, especially single player can feel like they are playing the same game but with different unique stories. Like most strategy games in this genre, yes of course you get to build cities, I mean that is one of the main things I was looking for, with gates and mounted weapons and of course you have a list of races to choose from and you can create your own race with custom abilities and weapons that evolve or upgrade as the game continues based on the decisions you make in the game. This game reminds of the game we just posted about last week, Age of Empires 4. I think 2023-2024 is geared to be the return of classic RPG games like we had back in the mid 2000s.
