I just installed this game because of all the hype the game has gained over the last 24 hours, at the time of it’s launch, it already sold over 1 million copies in just 8 hours, yeah, you read that right. The game went viral on social media and I had to see if it was worth the attention it was/is receiving. At first I looked at the screenshots of the game and I could instantly tell why people might give this game a try, it basically looks like a mature Pokemon game where your Pokemon or perhaps your Digimon can be your friends or enemies, these tiny but dangerous creatures can even assemble buildings for you, make and shoot guns and of course you can even ride and fly with them.

The game is something of a fresh air compared to most games that are tame and morally correct, this game lets you go at it with your friends online. I have a feeling this game might be here to stay, the developers at Palworld are already scrambling to add more servers to their network. I luckily was able to connect straight away, I experienced a little bit of a lag but nothing worth noting.

How is the gameplay like?

The gameplay is quite interesting, first of all, it has a non-targeted combat system(this might change?) so it leaves everything up to your timing and where you are positioned, unique in such a game I guess, but am not sure if people will love it, I currently don’t mind it. Another interesting of the gameplay is the integration of Pals into combat and exploration. Your Pals are not just companions; they are vital to your survival and success. Each Pal has different abilities that can be used depending on the situation you are in, whether it’s gathering resources, navigating the big open world map, or fighting enemies. This system encourages players to experiment with different Pal combinations to find the most effective strategies for their play style.
