  2. Once you are done downloading it, click the RoboCop: Rogue City icon on your desktop or start menu and enjoy.

How is the gameplay?

Once you have the downloading out of the way, you can read more about the game and see if the game is worth the hype. To get to the point, yes, this game is/was for sure worth the hype, and I actually think it’s launch went a bit under the radar despite the huge success the game has been by the developers, Teyon and publishers, Nacon. The game was in development for awhile, I remember hearing about it I think somewhere in early 2021 if I am not mistaken, but anyway, the game is great, I am glad I bought it and I think those of you who play it will enjoy it as well, just make sure your PC’s are up for it, this game does require a bit more of a powerful PC including a minimum 4G Video Ram, of course you might be able to get away with slighter older models but for such a game, the graphics are essential because it is a 1st person shooter so you can really enjoy the game to the max if your computer is upgrade with at least 16 GB ram on board as well as an SSD so that it runs smooth.

The game comes packed with tons of upgrades, you actually get to upgrade some of Alex Murphy’s stats including my favorite thing to upgrade, his slow mention senses, meaning that you can play certain parts in ‘slow motion’ and it helps you to dodge bullets and fire bullets all at the same time, it’s quiet a sight, they really did a good job putting it all together. You can even punch, and throw things at your enemies and it just feels natural and brutal at the same time.  Check out a screenshot of Alex throwing a huge trash can at someone, hilariously fun to do when you have the chance.

Pros:

  • Authentic RoboCop experience: Gritty atmosphere, iconic music and sound effects, faithful portrayal of Murphy’s struggle with humanity, and satisfying gunplay capture the essence of the film.
  • Engaging story and exploration: Compelling main plot with branching choices, interesting side missions, and detailed environments full of lore and secrets reward exploring Old Detroit.
  • Depth beyond shooting: Morality system influences gameplay, skill trees offer customization, and non-lethal takedowns allow for strategic playstyles beyond blasting everything.

Cons:

  • Technical rough edges: Occasional frame rate drops, stiff animations, and environmental pop-in can break immersion.
  • Repetitive core gameplay: While side missions offer some variety, the shoot-and-loot loop might feel monotonous for some players.
