• Microsoft Edge introduces two new settings to enhance web browsing experience and accessibility: Page colors and Turn off custom scrollbars.
• Page colors allows users to customize the appearance of web pages to reduce eye strain, mitigate color blindness, or simply for personal preference.
• Turn off custom scrollbars provides an option to remove the scrollbar to declutter the screen and improve focus.

We’re excited to announce the arrival of two new settings in Microsoft Edge, designed to enhance your web browsing experience and improve the accessibility of websites. These features, Page colors and Turn off custom scrollbars, grant you greater control over the appearance and accessibility of web pages, making your online time more comfortable and personalized.

Enhance your web experience with Page colors

Do you struggle to read web pages due to flashing colors, bright text, or links blending into the background? If so, the new Page colors feature in Microsoft Edge might be just what you need. This feature is particularly useful for individuals with vision impairments, color blindness, or light sensitivity, as it can help reduce eye strain and fatigue when browsing for extended periods. You’ll also be able to change the way your browser looks to suit your personal preference.

To enable Page colors, head to Settings and more (…), then select Settings > Accessibility. Under the Page colors section, you’ll find a range of customizable color options, including a variety of pre-set schemes and a manual color picker. Experiment with different combinations to find the perfect fit for your needs.

Turn off custom scrollbars

Sometimes, the scrollbar can be a distraction, taking up valuable screen real estate and drawing your attention away from the content. If you’re tired of the scrollbar cluttering your view, the new Turn off custom scrollbars feature is here to help. This option allows you to remove the scrollbar altogether, giving you a cleaner, more uncluttered screen and improved focus on the content itself.

With these two new features in Microsoft Edge, you’ll be able to tailor your browsing experience to your unique needs, whether you’re looking to improve the usability of the web or simply wish to customize the appearance of your browser. Experience the enhanced functionality and accessibility of Microsoft Edge today and enjoy a more comfortable, personalized online experience.
