Windows Insiders, you’re in for a treat! Microsoft has just rolled out a new Windows 11 Insider Preview Build to the Beta Channel, packing in a bunch of changes, improvements, and fixes. Let’s dive into the details.
Improvements and fixes:
One of the most noticeable changes is the improved filtering for recommended websites on the Start menu. Microsoft is using feedback from Insiders to show the highest quality sites based on your own browsing history. If you come across a website you don’t think should be recommended, please let us know!
Another improvement is the Spotlight on the lock screen, where you can now learn more about the spotlight image by clicking on the "Like icon." And, on the desktop, you can quickly discover more information about your background image by hovering over or clicking on the "Learn about this picture" icon.
The Windows Share window now includes a visual preview for links and web content, making it easier to share and access your files. And, the Taskbar has been fixed, no longer hiding window previews when hovering over certain open apps.
Microsoft Edge Game Assist (Preview)
Microsoft is also pushing out Microsoft Edge Game Assist (Preview), a revolutionary new in-game browser designed specifically for PC gaming. This browser delivers a rich gaming-centric browsing experience, with access to your browser data from your PC and mobile devices. It even appears on top of your game in Game Bar and suggests tips and guides based on what you’re playing!
Reminders:
For Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel, be aware that updates may be rolled out gradually over time, starting with a subset of Insiders before reaching everyone. You can choose to enable the latest updates as they become available through Settings > Windows Update.
Keep in mind that some features may never see the light of day or could change over time, be removed, or replaced. And, as active development continues, some features may not be fully localized and will be finalized in the future.
That’s all for now, Windows Insiders! As always, keep an eye out for more updates and get ready to take your Windows 11 experience to the next level!
