Infoblox and Google Cloud have partnered to bring forth innovative solutions for enterprise organizations, enabling them to accelerate cloud adoption with advanced networking and security capabilities. As part of this partnership, Infoblox Universal DDI for Google Cloud WAN combines Google Cloud Cross-Cloud Network infrastructure with Infoblox’s DNS and DHCP capabilities to provide infrastructure-free DNS and DHCP services anywhere in the world.
According to Infoblox’s Chief Product Officer, Mukesh Gupta, the integration of Infoblox Universal DDI with Google Cloud WAN simplifies the management of core network services, providing centralized visibility and control across the entire network. This cloud-native, fully managed solution is built into Google’s global cloud infrastructure, allowing organizations to deploy and manage network services quickly, without the operational overhead.
The partnership also offers Google Cloud DNS Armor, powered by Infoblox, which provides preemptive protection against cybersecurity threats by using DNS as a first line of defense. This solution inspects DNS queries in real-time to identify suspicious behavior, such as command-and-control communications, zero-day threats, and domains tied to known adversaries.
DNS Armor uses Infoblox DNS technology to gain visibility and find DNS-based attacks with a low false positive rate, reducing the risk of malware, data breaches, and cyberattacks for Google Cloud customers. According to Research Vice President, Chris Kissel of IDC, the solution provides a preemptive approach to securing cloud workloads without adding additional complexity or compute.
Infoblox Universal DDI for Cloud WAN will be available at the end of this month, and DNS Armor is expected to be available later this year. These solutions are set to revolutionize the way enterprise organizations manage their networks and secure their cloud workloads, providing a game-changing approach to networking and cybersecurity.
