Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27783: What’s New
Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27783 to the Canary Channel, bringing new features and improvements for Insiders. One of the most notable additions is the new File Explorer, which now provides quick access to shared files. When signed into Windows with a Microsoft account, users can view files shared with them, such as email, Teams chat, and more. For commercial customers signed-in with a Microsoft Entra ID account, they can also view files shared with others. The Recent, Favorites, and Shared sections on the File Explorer Home page will also now show a broader range of file types, including those opened or edited in applications like Designer, Loop, Power BI, and more.
Magnifier Improvements
Magnifier users will also benefit from new features, including a keyboard shortcut, CTRL + ALT + Minus, to quickly toggle between the current zoom level and 1X zoom. Additionally, buttons have been added to reset zoom to fit to screen and reset to last/preferred magnification.
Changes and Fixes
This update includes a small set of general improvements and fixes that enhance the overall Windows 11 experience for Insiders. The issues fixed include a problem with the taskbar preview windows, an issue with Pinyin IME, a problem with Windowing, the graphics, and more.
Known Issues
Several known issues have been identified, including an issue with Copilot+ PCs, an issue with SFC /scannow, and an issue with Hyper-V and other features that rely on it. Insiders are reminded that features in the Canary Channel may not necessarily make it to the final release of Windows.
Important Notes
To get off the Canary Channel, a clean installation of Windows 11 is required. Insiders can switch to a channel with a lower build number without doing a clean installation of Windows 11.
