Key points:

Microsoft has announced the next iteration of its AI Hub, which is designed to be the go-to destination for users to learn about AI experiences possible on their devices. The AI Hub was initially launched in 2023 to help users find great AI-powered apps, and since then, hundreds of new AI-capable apps have joined the Microsoft Store community.

The new AI Hub is specifically designed for Copilot+ PCs, which feature a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that powers AI and machine learning capabilities. The NPU offloads tasks like facial recognition, voice assistance, and data analysis from the CPU and GPU, allowing for faster and more efficient operation of the system.

As users explore the AI Hub, they can discover a range of AI-powered apps and features designed for their devices. For Copilot+ PC users, the AI Hub showcases the capabilities of their device, including the Windows and developer ecosystem experiences that leverage the power of the NPU. For users without Copilot+ PCs, the AI Hub highlights the best apps and experiences compatible with their devices.

The AI Hub also features a new Welcome Experience that helps users familiarize themselves with exclusive Windows features, such as Windows Studio Effects, Paint Cocreator, and Photos Image Creator. This is complemented by the ability to stay current with the latest Copilot+ PC features and NPU-powered apps available.

In addition to the AI Hub, the Microsoft Store on Windows is home to a rich AI developer ecosystem, with offerings like djay Pro, Camo Studio, and Gamma, all leveraging the power of the NPU to deliver exceptional results. ChatGPT, the popular AI-powered conversational assistant, is also available as an app on the Microsoft Store, offering users a seamless and user-friendly experience.

Microsoft has announced that the AI Hub will be expanding to additional markets and Windows users in the coming months. To stay current on release plans, users can watch the "What’s New" page in the Store. The company is also committed to feedback, and users are encouraged to share their thoughts via the Feedback Hub.

The launch of the updated AI Hub marks a significant milestone in the evolution of AI on Windows, enabling users to unlock new possibilities and reimagine how they solve everyday problems. With the AI Hub, Microsoft is empowering users to experience the full potential of AI, from music creation to video production, and beyond.
