Microsoft has released a new update to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel, bringing improved Windows Search capabilities and a small Paint update. With this update, Insiders with Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs can now find photos saved in the cloud using improved Windows Search. This feature allows users to search for photos by describing what they are about, and the search results will include photos from both local and cloud storage.
The update also includes a small Paint update, introducing the Copilot menu to Paint. This menu provides access to intelligent features that help users complete image generation and editing tasks faster. However, it’s worth noting that the Copilot menu is only available on Copilot+ PCs.
In addition to these new features, the update includes a range of bug fixes and improvements, including fixes for issues with File Explorer, Settings, and Remote Desktop.
For Insiders in the Beta Channel, the update is optional for now, but it will become recommended later this year. Insiders in the Beta Channel are receiving the same updates as the Dev Channel, but with a slightly different timing.
Finally, Microsoft has reminded Insiders that they have a window to switch from the Dev Channel to the Beta Channel, but this opportunity will close once the Dev Channel jumps ahead to receiving updates with higher build numbers.
