As Windows Insiders, we are excited to announce the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.4880 (KB5052100) to the Beta Channel. This build is only available to Insiders who have not upgraded to Windows 11, version 24H2. The changes and improvements in this build are being rolled out gradually to Insiders who have turned on the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available.
General Improvements and Fixes:
This update includes a small set of general improvements and fixes that enhance the overall experience for Insiders running this build on their PCs. One of the notable fixes is the issue causing the Home page of Settings to crash for some Insiders. This should provide a smoother experience for users interacting with the Settings app.
Known Issues:
While we’re working on resolving some issues, there are a few known problems Insiders may encounter. For instance, File Explorer might be slow to close for some Insiders when using the X button. Additionally, some Insiders may see the two new enterprise-specific device info and accessibility preferences cards on non-managed PCs signed in with Microsoft accounts.
Paint Update:
We’re also releasing an update for Paint, version 11.2412.271.0 and higher, to Windows Insiders in the Beta and Release Preview Channels. The update introduces the Copilot menu in Paint, which provides quick access to intelligent features that aid in image generation and editing tasks. The Copilot menu includes features like Cocreator, Image Creator, Generative erase, and Remove background, with short descriptions to help you choose the right tool. Please provide feedback on this feature through the Feedback Hub.
Reminders for Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel:
As a Windows Insider in the Beta Channel, you’ll receive updates based on Windows 11, version 23H2 via an enablement package (Build 22635.xxxx). We use Control Feature Rollout technology to roll out features gradually, starting with a subset of Insiders and increasing the rollout over time as we gather feedback. To get the latest updates as they become available, turn on the toggle in Settings > Windows Update. As features are refined, we may remove or replace them, and not release them beyond Windows Insiders. Some features may not be fully localized and may show up in future Windows releases.
We appreciate your feedback and look forward to continuing to improve the Windows experience for all Insiders.
