Today, the Windows Insider Program Team announced the release of Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.5552 (KB5052077) to the Release Preview Channel for Insiders running Windows 10 version 22H2. This build includes a range of new features and improvements to existing functionality.

One of the most significant updates comes in the form of Daylight Saving Time (DST) changes, supporting Paraguay’s DST schedules. This means that Windows 10 users in Paraguay will no longer experience issues with clock changes during the twice-yearly DST adjustment.

The Input Method Editor (IME) has also seen significant improvements. Two issues have been addressed: the Chinese IME stops responding when the font family or font size is changed, and the color contrast ratio of the Chinese IME search suggestion panel is now more accessible.

Another notable update is the fixing of the Dwm.exe process, which has been known to stop responding frequently. This should improve overall system performance and stability.

Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles have also been updated, bringing the assets up to date for certain mobile operators. This should result in better connectivity and performance for users who rely on these operators.

The Narrator, a tool that assists users with visual impairments, has also seen several improvements. It now correctly announces the Chinese IME candidate window quick action buttons, the control type for the Chinese IME suggestion opt-in item, and the heading of the Chinese IME suggestion opt-in panel. These changes will enhance the overall user experience for those relying on the Narrator.

In a separate but significant development, the Open Secure Shell (OpenSSH) service has been fixed, resolving an issue where it would fail to start, stopping SSH connections. Although the issue has been fixed, it’s worth noting that there is no detailed logging available for this problem, and users may need to restart the sshd.exe process manually.

In conclusion, this latest update from the Windows Insider Program Team brings a range of improvements to various aspects of Windows 10, from Daylight Saving Time to input method editors, Narrator, and even the Open Secure Shell. These changes will undoubtedly enhance the overall Windows 10 experience for users, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for this platform.
