Hello Microsoft Windows Insiders! Our latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.2213 (KB5045885) has been released to the Dev Channel. This build focuses on new features, improvements, and fixes to Windows 11.
Hide IME Toolbar in Full-Screen Mode:
For Insiders who enable the IME toolbar when typing in Chinese or Japanese, we’re starting to roll out a change where the toolbar will now automatically hide when apps are in full-screen mode.
Temporarily Disabled Gamepad Keyboard Layout:
In the previous build, a new Gamepad keyboard layout for the on-screen keyboard was introduced. However, we’ve temporarily disabled it due to some issues affecting its performance. This feature will be re-released in a future flight.

A number of fixes will be rolled out to a subset of Insiders initially, before being available to everyone in the Dev Channel. These fixes include addressing issues with the Start menu, File Explorer, and Taskbar.
File Explorer Fixes:
Multiple issues have been fixed with File Explorer, including improvements to the navigation pane layout and RAW image thumbnail loading.
Taskbar Enhancements:
The taskbar will now display a search box when auto-hidden, and the X-button to close app windows from the taskbar has been fixed.
Dev Drive Fix:
An underlying issue preventing Dev Drives from being accessible within WSL has been resolved.
Other Fixes:
Several other issues have been addressed, including problems joining domains, DISM failure, and issues with DHCP and DirectAccess.
Known Issues:
Desktop background issues with multiple monitors are being investigated, as well as an issue preventing Task Manager from showing apps and processes.
