Windows Insiders, we’re excited to announce the release of Windows 11 Build 22631.4969 to the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11, version 23H2 (Build 22631). This update brings new features and improvements, as well as fixes for several issues.

Gradual Rollout Features:

Several exciting features will be rolling out gradually, including:

  • Sharing files from jump lists on the taskbar: Jump lists appear when you right-click an app with a jump list.
  • Easier access to Windows Spotlight: Hover over the image or click the "Learn about this picture" icon to learn more about the background image.
  • Improved Narrator features: New functions for Narrator scan mode, including skipping past links, jumping to the start or end of an item, and quickly accessing lists.
  • Inviting friends and family to try PC Game Pass: A new referral card will appear on the Settings home page, allowing you to invite friends and family to try PC Game Pass for free.

Fixed Issues:

The update also addresses several issues, including:

  • Slow context menus: The context menu should now open more quickly when you right-click cloud files.
  • Incorrect thumbnail display for cloud files: Thumbnails should now display more consistently in search results.
  • Mouse pointer color: The mouse pointer color should no longer revert to white after the User Account Control (UAC) dialog appears.

Normal Rollout Features:

The update includes several features and improvements that are rolling out as part of this update, including:

  • Disablement of account-based content in File Explorer: This change affects Entra IDs in the European Economic Area (EEA).
  • Support for Daylight Saving Time (DST) changes in Paraguay: This update supports the shift to Paraguay’s new DST schedule.
  • Fixed issues with dwm.exe and Open Secure Shell (OpenSSH): dwm.exe should no longer stop responding, and OpenSSH should now start correctly.
