I can’t believe it, this game was actually released way back in late 2004 and somehow millions of people still play it each and every week, that is more than just impressive, whatever world you can think of beyond impressive, that is the word to describe this game.

I think we have to put it up there with the likes of Counter-Strike 2, and perhaps Dota 2 as games that continue to defy the odds when it comes to popularity.

I last played this game close to 3 years ago and I don’t know why I did not post it on our website, it simply slipped my mind but thanks to a comment on one of our social media profiles that reminded me to check up on this game and see what else has changed about it.

The main thing is that this game much like Half-Life, has sprung perhaps an even bigger game than itself, which is League of Legends, besides that the graphics have been upgraded a bit, they still have that early 2000’s vibe which again, is just fine for this type of game but the gameplay has improved significantly, making it even more enjoyable than before.

The community has grown and evolved as well, with new players joining the ranks alongside seasoned veterans, fostering an environment that is both competitive and welcoming. With new expansions that have made the game continue to keep it’s huge fanbase happy with new content, you can only expect more expansions as time goes.

At the time of this post, so far they have released the latest which is Dragonflight and the first expansion known as The Lich King Has Returned. With the boom of eSports, the likes of WoW will continue to be very active gaming communities. Let us know in the comments if you decide to try this game and what you think about it and it’s growth.
